Every child deserves to be given the opportunity to go to school. Every child deserves the opportunity to be able to make an impact positively in society. Every child deserves the opportunity to be educated.
One of our goals at Bestbuddy Foundation is to provide education for the less privileged children, whose parents are financially unstable and can’t afford to provide education for their children.
A team of our volunteers led by Mister Jimoh made research and covered some geographical areas in Ado-Ekiti namely:
Igimankogo-Ado-Ekiti
Emirin-Ado-Ekiti
Odido-Ado-Ekiti.
After careful research and analysis, the residents of Odido-Ado-Ekiti were chosen.
The people of Odido-Ado-Ekiti live in a settlement.
The settlement is owned by the Federal Polytechnic of Ado-Ekiti.
A feasibility study was carried out to find out the needs of the people of Odido-Ado-Ekiti.
The result gotten from the feasibility study are as follows :
1)The people of Odido-Ado-Ekiti don’t have a school. The closest school is 5km to the main road.
2) The residents of Odido-Ado-Ekiti are TIV indigenes.
3)They have about 100+ children and they don’t attend school.
4)The people of Odido don’t have a borehole, their source of water is from a stream.
5)The people of Odido don’t have a hospital.
As the community is a settlement, no permanent structure can be erected but still, the children’s educational needs can’t be ignored.
We are currently working on setting up a school structure for the children.
Every child deserves an education.
